According to the answers you have given us, what you appear to have is, for us, a  straight-forward case. You say you are in fair shape for your age and build, and have what we call a primary, reducible hernia. You can have this hernia repaired by most general surgeons around the world but the techniques, skill and experience levels - and outcomes - will vary by a wide margin.
