If an adult has a hernia, surgery is inevitable and the outcome is affected by how it is done. The younger the patient, the easier it is to repair successfully and, in very early years, some hernias do not need surgery at all.

Where they DO need surgery, these hernias are best performed by paediatricians and you should be able to obtain a referral / recommendation locally.
